This film tells the story of Kemble Instruments, a manufacturing firm which set out to improve quality at all levels by transforming the culture of the company. The starting point is to involve the workforce and gain their commitment to change. At the same time the company introduces a just in time approach to manufacture. This is aimed at minimising money tied up in stock and storage. The company claims significant improvements in productivity. But not everyone signs up to the changes and there are casualties along the way.
